About your coach:
Professional genealogist Kim Richardson enjoys finding ways to overcome tough challenges. Kim's favorite genealogy activity is serving the family history community by coaching and empowering others to break through barriers to achieve their goals. To that end, Kim created and developed the Brick Wall Buster Cards to show others her secret to solving tough genealogy problems and family mysteries. She regularly teaches and presents to groups across the country. She founded a research and consulting firm to help others in their pursuit of their ancestors. She also writes for local and state genealogy publications and wrote the “Mississippi Research Guide” for Family Tree Magazine. She has researched for nationally known TV shows as well.
FAQs
How do I schedule my coaching session?
Scheduling a session is easy! After checking out, you will receive an email and be invited to schedule a virtual meeting. (Note that the email will not be an automated, computer-generated email. Kim will email you directly. If you order at a time when she is away from her computer, like late at night, give her time to see the notification and reply. She will get in touch ASAP.) Before the meeting, you will complete a simple form that will brief Kim on your goals. Then, just log in to the meeting to work with Kim and break through your genealogy research barriers.
I invested in the 1-Hour or 2-Hour session. How will I get my kit?
If you ordered a combo package including a Brick Wall Buster Cards kit, your boxed kit will be shipped as soon as possible. Just give us time to package it up and it will be on the way to your front door!
My package includes digital downloads or digital documents. How do I get those?
If your selection includes digital downloads or files, they will be sent to your email inbox. The documents are not sent through an automatic, computer-generated response. You get personal service here. The files will be sent with a note directly to you by your coach, Kim.
How long do I have to book the appointment?
There's no rush. But we do need to get something on the calendar within two months of your purchase. (The appointment can be anytime in the next six months, we just need to make the appointment soon to make sure we keep it in sight.)
What topics or research questions are good for coaching sessions?
Methods and techniques are great things to work on. "How-to" prove a theory works really well in a coaching session. We can discuss and work on your research goals and punch holes in that brick wall. Highly specialized subjects are not ideal for coaching sessions, though. For example, DNA, Native American research, research outside the U.S., research that requires Kim to read a language other than English, etc.
What if I want more coaching time?

What's my guarantee?
It is important to understand that some records are no longer on planet Earth or never were created to start with. Kim can show you how to make sure you've done exhaustive research, but she can't help you find records that don't exist or guarantee that your ancestor is listed in records that are available. If you are not satisfied because you feel that you learned nothing during or as a result of the coaching session, we will work with you to make it right. The goal is to help you be a better researcher. If we miss the mark, we will find a solution.
What else do I get for signing up?
That's the great part! Besides what you learn by investing in a session, the knowledge will keep coming! When you sign up for a coaching session, you will also receive a weekly email about solving tough genealogy problems. These are packed full of great info - no filler, no fluff. Multiple orders may be shipped together if they are destined for the same address.
Orders cannot be shipped to PO Boxes.
Shipping costs are non-refundable.
Currently, we do not support shipping internationally or to U.S. Territories.
Orders are not shipped on weekends or holidays.
All orders are processed within 3 business days (Monday – Friday) unless we are experiencing a high volume of orders. You will be contacted via telephone or email in the case of significant shipping delays.
Delivery delays may occasionally occur, but we utilize Priority Mail from the USPS which strives to deliver within three business days.
We are not responsible for any packages that are shipped to the wrong address if the order was made to an incorrect address.
If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, we are here to help.
If anything is wrong with your purchase (missing components, damaged product), please contact us and we will work with you to resolve the problem on a case-by-case basis.
You have 14 days to return an item from the date you receive it. Just email us at info@brickwallbustercards.com.
To be eligible for a return, the item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it and must be in the original packaging.
Your item needs to have the receipt with it.
You are responsible for paying the return shipping costs. You may use the carrier of your choice or we can provide a shipping label for you to print out (shipping costs will be deducted from any refund).
Once we receive your item, we will inspect it. We will notify you that it was received and of the status of the refund. If your return is approved, we will issue a refund minus a $2.00 restocking fee to your original form of payment. Depending on the form of payment used, it may take several days for the credit.
